SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University will host six candidates competing for interviews for the position of vice president for university advancement beginning Wednesday.

Each candidate will deliver a public presentation and answer questions during an open session.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members are invited to the open sessions.

The first candidate will visit from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday in Room 315 of the Smith Student Center.

Dennis Washington of Elkins Park, Pa., is the first candidate, having last served as vice president for institutional advancement and community relations at Salus University until June 30.

Open sessions for candidates will follow on Friday, Monday, Nov. 6, Nov. 19 and Nov. 22 at varying times, all in Room 315 of the Smith Student Center.

Candidates’ names and information will be posted at www.sru.edu/vpadvancement 24 hours before the their interview and remain online until Nov. 23.

A response form for open session attendees to provide feedback to the search committee will be available on the webpage.
