GRADUATES
Erin Miller graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Indiana (Pa.) University.
At the university, she worked for the research institute. She was a member of the Student Marketing Association and the American Marketing Association, and participated in the Pittsburgh Marketing Plan Contest.
Miller worked as an intern in the marketing department at the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium.A 2000 graduate of Butler High School, she is the daughter of Bronand Debbie Miller of Butler.She plans to pursue a career in Raleigh, N.C.
Caleb Ebel of Grove City graduated with a bachelor of science in education degree in technology education from Millersville University.
Sarah Burroughs graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.At the university, she was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, served on the Greek Week executive board and was elected a member of the 2003 homecoming court.While pursuing her degree, Burroughs was employed by Americorp in the Jump Start Early Literacy Program.A 2000 graduate of Butler High School, she is the daughter of Jim and Kathy Burroughs of Butler.She will return to the University of Pittsburgh in June, where she will pursue a master of arts degree in teaching. She has been hired as a teaching intern in the Upper St. Clair School District for the 2004-2005 school year.
Maria Orlandi of Butler graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Indiana (Pa.) University.She maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout her time at the university.
David Kepple graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in information science from the University of Pittsburgh.At the university, he was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and the Golden Key National Honor Society.A 2000 graduate of Karns City Area High School, he is the son of George and Marsha Kepple of Sugarcreek Township.
Susan (Dally) Maleckar graduated with a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh.She is the recipient of the Safford Award for excellence in teaching. Her research in polymer chemistry focused on the development of an artificial blood substitute.Maleckar served as the assistant coordinator of undergraduate organic labs and wrote the undergraduate organic chemistry lab manuals. She also taught numerous sections of organic chemistry, polymer lab and intro to general chemistry.A 1994 graduate of Geneva College and a 1990 graduate of Butler High School, she is the daughter of Robert and Ruth Dally of Butler. She resides with her husband, John Maleckar, and her son, Gregory Maleckar, in Gibsonia.
