Marian Bianchi

Marian Agnes “Maryann” Diana Bianchi, 85, of Twinsburg, Ohio, passed away Thursday.

Maryann was preceded in death by her husband, “Santino” Gildo Bianchi; her parents, Carl and Clara Diana; and her only brother, Carl Jr. of Hillsville, Pa.

She was born April 26, 1930. She grew up in Hillsville, graduated from Indiana State Teacher's College, now Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and married Gil, her high school sweetheart in 1952. That same year, she began a teaching career which spanned more than 33 years.

After her first two years of teaching business in Evans City, she took a position at Butler High School, where she eventually became the business department chair. She retired from Butler and continued to teach part-time as a high school substitute and at various community colleges for several years. Always driven by a strong work ethic, a thirst for knowledge and a determination for excellence, she undoubtedly left positive imprints on many of her students along the way.
