Pregnant woman injured in crash
CLAY TWP — A pregnant woman suffered injuries after a vehicle accident early Saturday morning on Route 308, according to West Sunbury Fire Department personnel.
The woman, who was not identified except that she is in her 20s and from the county, was heading north on Route 308 when she lost control of her vehicle about 4:15 a.m. The vehicle then left the road and struck a utility pole before coming to a stop in some woods, said Chief Reid Campbell of the West Sunbury Volunteer Fire Department.
The woman had stomach pain and discomfort and was transported by Butler Ambulance Service to a hospital in Pittsburgh, Campbell said.
Butler state police responded to the scene but did not have a report available this morning.
