Douglas Donnel

Douglas Donnel

Douglas Charles Donnel, 61, was laid to rest with his parents, William A. Donnel and Frances Dumbaugh Donnel after passing away Sept. 7, 2021, in Warner Robins, Ga., after a month long fight with COVID-19.

Born May 20, 1960, in Butler, Doug was a 1978 graduate of Butler High School.

Starting out in 1981 with Paragon in Harmony, he along with his line were transferred to Warner Robins, Ga., where he continued being a loyal and dedicated member of his team.

If you knew Doug, he was without exception, the greatest Miami Dolphins fan, and enjoyed listening to his Bob Seger music.

He was passionate, and his energy and enthusiasm were legendary. Working in his yard with pride resulted in having the best landscaped and manicured yard in his small community, where he lived with his financée, Christine Montgomery, and four kitties, which included Max.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William E. and David A. Donnel.

Doug is survived by his son, Stephen (Nikki), along with his grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua and Zachary Donnel; his siblings, Robert C. (Judy), Curtis L. (Katherine) Donnel and Karen E. (Russell) Donnel-Ottney; his ex-wife, Paula Moore Donnel; and a host of family and friends, who include Cheryl Knox, and his beloved huskies, Nina and Nome.

He is loved by many and will be truly missed.

Our thanks to Houston Medical Center for his medical care, Heritage Memorial Funeral Home for his after care and the Butler Memorial Cemetery for the completion of his final wishes!

DONNEL — Per his wishes, a private gathering was held at the gravesite at the cemetery for Douglas Charles Donnel, who died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021.
