Man injured in fall from tree
A Life Flight helicopter takes off carrying a man who was injured after falling out of a tree in Lancaster Township.
LANCASTER TWP - Officials say a man fell 20 feet from a tree Monday afternoon on Scott Ridge Road.
The man was doing some work on a dead tree when he fell around 4:30 p.m., officials said.
Harmony Fire District Chief Scott Garing said the man suffered "traumatic" injuries to his spinal area. The victim was transported to a hospital in Pittsburgh via a Life Flight helicopter.
It is unknown how he fell from the tree.
Harmony EMS and the township police were also at the scene.
