Butler police are searching for a woman who is accused of intentionally hitting another woman with a vehicle Friday morning.

Tashina C. Booher, 33, of Brady Township is wanted on a felony arrest warrant issued by District Judge William Fullerton.

Police allege Booher about 7:50 a.m. deliberately drove an Acura sport utility vehicle into Brandy Lane after the two women got into an argument in the area of West New Castle and Mercer streets.

Lane, 30, whose address is not known, suffered an unspecified leg injury. She was reportedly taken to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment.

Police were initially called for what was believed to be a pedestrian accident involving a vehicle near Tani's Pizza on Mercer Street. Lane was in “an extreme amount of pain” when officers got there, Patrolman Kevin Novak said in his affidavit.

She was lying on the steps to a home on the 600 block of West New Castle Street. She identified Booher as the driver who struck her.

Lane recounted that she and the defendant had been arguing when she got out of the vehicle, police said. She started walking toward the front of the vehicle when Booher accelerated and hit her, forcing Lane into the steps.

Booher sped away and was last seen driving north on Mercer Street.

Novak described seeing a “large amount of blood” from a cut to Lane's lower right leg, the affidavit said.

Butler Ambulance Service and the Butler Fire Department were called. Paramedics tended to Lane, who was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.

Police said they believed she was later taken to an unknown Pittsburgh hospital for further treatment. Her condition was not known Sunday.

A witness told officers that he saw a black Acura SUV “accelerate quickly” and hit Lane, police said, before backing up and speeding off. The witness heard “gravel flying” from the accelerating vehicle.

Police said they recently investigated an incident involving Booher and Lane during which they were in a black Acura SUV.

Police also noted the crash broke one the steps at the home where they found Lane.

Booher is charged in Friday's incident with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault by vehicle and causing an accident involving injury, all felonies. She also is charged with reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor.

Additionally, police cited her for driving with a suspended license, failing to immediately notify police of an accident and reckless driving.
