EVANS CITY — The executive director of the Cranberry Township Emergency Medical Service is accused of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old man who had fallen asleep during an underage drinking party last weekend at a borough home.

Steve Frank Tedesco Jr., 29, of Cranberry Township is charged with rape of an unconscious victim and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of an unconscious person, both first-degree felonies.

He also is charged with indecent assault of an unconscious person, indecent assault without consent and three counts of furnishing alcohol to minors, all misdemeanors

Tedesco was arraigned Wednesday and sent to Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail. About three hours later, he posted bail and was released.

Tedesco, who has an unlisted telephone number, could not be reached for comment this morning.

The alleged victim told police that he and the defendant and two other 19-year-olds were at a home on Saturday night, according to court documents.

He said Tedesco gave them alcohol while they all were outside around a fire.

Shortly after midnight, the accuser said, everyone went inside the house. He fell asleep on the floor. When he awoke several hours later, he alleged Tedesco was performing a sex act on him.

The alleged victim told police he pushed Tedesco away and moved to the other side of the room.

Tedesco’s status at the ambulance service could not be established this morning.
