Scoop's on the rebound

Well, I turned in a decent record of 8-3 last week, but for the season, I'm still a dismal 69-25.

Unacceptable!

My pride has been hurt. My feathers have been ruffled.

I'm on the verge of being booted from my nest.

But, like any prognosticator worth his weight in footballs, I'm looking to the future.

My aim is to finish this season strong and it starts with this, the final week of the regular season.

The Big Macs will be without their starting quarterback and the Golden Tornado have the potential to cap a rough season with a victory.Canon-Mac, though, will find a way.Canon-McMillan, 26-13

Two weeks ago, the Planets' defense had a bad night in a loss to Fox Chapel. Last week, it was their offense that struggled in a loss to Kiski Area.Mars will play well against a Talbot team that has lost six straight games.Running back Teddy Ruffner returns to form.Mars, 25-8

It's a backyard brawl with pride on the line. The Knights get a win on the road, but the Yellowjackets will be a tough out.Knoch, 21-18

The Trojans have a chance to go undefeated in Big East Conference play.Quarterback Zack Rocco and Co. won't falter against the Lancers.North Catholic, 40-14

The Rockets ran out of fuel long ago and have lost six consecutive games. The Gremlins have been playing inspired football, led by a powerful ground game and that trend will continue.Karns City, 39-10

— The Panthers are on a roll with eight straight wins. They get No. 9 against the Warriors.Keystone, 36-16

The Falcon Knights are primed to make a run in the District 9 Class A playoffs, but first will encounter the Class AA power Elkers.Ridgway is the only team to defeat Clarion this season and it also beat a very good Brookville team. The Falcon Knights will manage to make things interesting, but ...Ridgway, 30-14

— The Knights end the season with a win on the road against the struggling Warriors.Summit Academy, 24-16Scoop is not tanking for a high draft pick.
