Ruth Elizabeth McClymonds
Ruth Elizabeth McClymonds, 52, formerly of Portersville, passed away on Nov. 15, 2020, at Chandler Regional Hospital in Arizona after battling a lung infection related to COVID-19.
Born April 24, 1968, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Norman Dennis and Alda Mae Weller McClymonds.
Ruth was a 1986 graduate of Lincoln High School, and earned her bachelor's degree from Geneva College in 1990.
After graduating, she worked as a cardiovascular technologist at Fairfax Hospital in Virginia. Ruth then worked as a cardiovascular technologist and, later, director of cardiovascular services at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif., from 1994 to 2016.
Ruth was passionate about all sports. She enjoyed travel, reading, outdoor activities, hiking, survival strategies, horses, photography, and holiday decorations. Family and extended family were very important in her life.
Ruth is survived by three sisters, Jane (Cal) Chronister, Melody McClymonds and Dorothy McClymonds; four brothers, Donald, Henry, Bill and Richard McClymonds; many nieces and nephews, including Stacy, Randy, Bruce and Derek; one great-niece; seven great-nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis McClymonds.
Ruth touched the lives of countless people. Many thanks for all prayers, love, support and comfort throughout this difficult time. The family greatly appreciates and is comforted by knowing how so many people truly cared and loved her.
