Frieda E. Carbo, 80, of Mars, passed away on Monday afternoon, Dec. 12, 2021, at her residence.

Born Feb. 23, 1941, in Marshall Township, she was the daughter of the late Daniel C. and Freda C. Borer Kohler.

Frieda was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mars.

She worked as a hostess for Wendy’s in Cranberry Township, retiring in 2010.

The things Frieda enjoyed were word searches, watching the birds after her husband had fed them, decorating cakes for family and friends, sewing, ceramics and enjoying her family, along with hosting AFS exchange students.

She is survived by her husband, Chester E. Carbo Jr., whom she married in July of 1962; one daughter, Sharon (Doug) Storch of Nebraska; two sons, Todd (Sherri) Carbo of Ohio, and Wayne (Merri) Carbo of Saxonburg, along with Carlos (Margarita) Arroyo of Chile, who had been an exchange student they considered as a third son; one brother, Kenneth Kohler of Texas; and five grandchildren, Zac, Abigail, Olivia, Cameron and Josh.

CARBO — A celebration of the life of Frieda E. Carbo, who died Monday, Dec. 12, 2021, will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Mars. The service will begin at 1 p.m. with a reception immediately following.
