Alice Jurasovic

Alice J. Jurasovic, 93, of Zelienople, formerly of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday at Ellwood City Hospital.

She was born on June 11, 1921, in New Brighton, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Lubic Jurasovic.

She was retired from the former Gross Furniture Store in Beaver Falls, where she was a clerk for more than 35 years.

She was a member of the St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, Zelienople.

Alice was a member of the United Croatian Club, New Brighton, for the past 75 years. Her favorite pastime was going dancing on the weekends at the old dance halls with her friends and her sister, Olga, who was a musician.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Grace Lois and Olga Jurasovic, and her cousin, Donny Lubic.

A loving aunt, she will be sadly missed by her niece, Sylvia Grace and her husband, Dale Benedum, of Zelienople; her cousin, Helen Lubic of West Newton, and her good friends, Marla Bennett of Zelienople and Betty Fusco of Beaver.

Jurasovic— The friends of Alice J. Jurasovic, who passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of a blessing service at 11 a.m. Saturday at theJ & J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
