Rebecca Ruth Richendrfer, 89, of Brady Township, Slippery Rock, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021.

She was born on Aug. 10, 1932, in Shepherd, Midland County, Mich., to James Arthur Clark and Augusta Emma Noack Clark.

She married Charles Leonard Richendrfer on Nov. 15, 1955, and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1998.

She was a homemaker.

She was a faithful member of Hope Fellowship Church in Slippery Rock.

She loved bird watching, Scrabble, and making muffins. She was called the “Muffin Lady” because she was always making muffins for friends and family. She loved God and she loved to pray. “We are going to miss Mom's prayers.”

Survivors include her son, the Rev. David (Joanne) Richendrfer of Slippery Rock; and her daughter, Naomi (Sam) Brelo of Philipsburg, Pa.; two sisters, Naomi Wells of Selbyville, Del., and Joy Durbin of Millsboro, Del.; and a brother, Phillip Clark of Stanton, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Richendrfer; and a grandson, Jacob Brelo.

RICHENDRFER — The family of Rebecca Ruth Richendrfer, who died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hope Fellowship Church, 411 N. Main St., Slippery Rock.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. David Richendrfer, son of Rebecca, and the Rev. Dan Carver presiding.

Interment will follow at Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg, Pa.

Arrangements are under the direction of SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Slippery Rock.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in her name to Hope Fellowship Assembly of God to support her favorite missions projects.
