Sharon J. Wilson

Sharon J. Wilson, 50, of Butler, passed away Sunday at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh from complications of leukemia.

Born in Butler on Oct. 20, 1966, she was a daughter of Phillip E. and Joyce M. Easley Wilson.

Sharon was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Butler High School Class of 1985. She volunteered at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul for 12 years and she volunteered at the Salvation Army for 10 years.

She enjoyed shopping for bargains; she loved music, especially the music of the ’70s and ’80s; and she was an expert at knowing musical groups.

She adored her family, especially her many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by one son, Jesse A. Bennett, of New Brighton, Pa.; her parents, Phillip E. and Joyce M. Easley Wilson of Butler; one brother, Phillip M. Wilson of Kittanning; three sisters, Mary Beth Harmon of Butler, Kathleen Smith and her husband, Steven, of Renfrew, and Corinne Vincent of Saltsburg, Pa.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Maurice and Millie Neff Easley; and her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Violet Smith Wilson.

WILSON — Friends of Sharon J. Wilson, who died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
