[naviga:h3]N. Washington Rodeo ready[/naviga:h3]

NORTH WASHINGTON — The annual North Washington Rodeo is slated for Tuesday through Aug. 19 at the arena, 2225 Oneida Valley Road, Route 38.

A kick-off parade is set for 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Rodeo events will include bareback bronc riding, calf roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, cowgirls’ barrel racing, cowgirls’ breakaway roping, team roping and bull riding. These start at 8 p.m., daily rain or shine. Gates open at 6 p.m.

[naviga:h3]Annual nature art show set[/naviga:h3]

The annual Nature and Wildlife Art Show is coming up Sept. 13 to 30 at the Butler Art Center.

The reception will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 15.

Cash and ribbon prizes are planned for Best of Show plus first and second places in these categories: painting, works on paper, photography, craft and sculpture.

The Art Center, 344 S. Main St., is open regularly from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.

[naviga:h3]Children’s choir to sing[/naviga:h3]

CRANBERRY TWP — Matsiko World Orphan Choir will present a concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at Plains Presbyterian Church, 326 Plains Church Road.

The choir is made up of some of the poorest orphaned and at-risk children from Peru, India and Liberia.

Admission is free although donations will be accepted.
