Shirley Cook Bonetti
Shirley Cook Bonetti, 84, of Butler passed away peacefully Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born Aug. 3, 1932, in Hilliards, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William H. and Barbara Ryder Cook. She was a Christian and had belonged to St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Butler.
Shirley was a homemaker and loved to go on long walks and spend time with her family. She loved to cook and help her husband and brother garden. She would can enough food to pass around to her many friends and family.
Shirley married the love of her life, Eugene Bonetti, on Dec. 8, 1949, and would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this year. She was a devoted and loving mother to her five daughters, 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Eugene; her five daughters, Deborah (James) Bier of Renfrew, Barbara (Michael) Acquavita of Butler, Pamela (Thomas) Kaylor of Butler, Kimberly (Richard) Moore of West Sunbury and Cheryl (Richard) Schomburger of Tucson, Ariz.; her 15 grandchildren, Tierrah (Michael) Byers, Melissa (Wilde) Paule, Michael (Nicholette) Kaylor, Justin Rodgers, Ashley (Adam) Benjamin, Timothy (Tammy) Kaylor, Braden Bier, Eric Rodgers, Olivia Schomburger, Nicole Schomburger, Danielle Schomburger, Richard (Traci) Moore of Butler, Jessica Dittmer of Ellwood City, Michael (Emily) Acquavita and Gina (Jon) Veschio of Pittsburgh; and her 15 great-grandchildren, Grant, Max and Clay Byers, Wilde and Cruze Paule, Andrew, Aaron and Anna Grace Benjamin, Vincent Kaylor, Kayla, Rylee and Joshua Moore, Devin Dittmer, Jonah Acquavita and Rocco Veschio.
Also surviving is her beloved brother, William (Margaret) Cook and her sister-in-law, Margaret Cook, 18 nieces and nephews, 30 great-nieces and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
Greeting her in heaven will be her parents; seven brothers, Earl, Albert, Paul, Glen, Keith, Don and Ron Cook; her two sisters, Florence Gladd and Mildred Fleming; her nephews, Gaylord Gladd and Tom Cook; a niece, Stephanie Fleming; and her dear friend, Bessie Panei.
BONETTI — Friends of Shirley Cook Bonetti, who passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St.Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev.
