Moyer

Harold “Ray” Moyer, 85, of New Sewickley Township, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022, while under the care of Cranberry Place.

Born Jan. 9, 1937, in Lancaster Township, he was the son of the late Harry Edward and Estella Mae Kniess Moyer.

Ray was a member of Grace Church in Harmony. He loved spending time with his family, especially his kids, his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. In his free time Ray enjoyed bowling, reading Louis L’Amour novels and watching NASCAR. He loved classic cars and enjoyed watching his great-grandson, Derrik, play baseball. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

Ray leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 63 years, Awynn Jean Gibson Moyer; his daughters, Terri (Rick) Tankersley and Cathy (Rob) Antill; his goddaughter, Pamela (Raymond) Wild; his grandchildren, Rachel Moyer (Rob Snyder), Nicole Mcanallen and Amanda (Rob) Grove; his great-grandchildren, Derrik and Cooper; and his sister, Ruth Dietrich.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his son, Mark A. Moyer; his sisters, Lois Groves, Vera Jean Davis and Grace Margaret McClelland, and his infant sister, Mary Jane Moyer; and his brother, John Moyer.

MOYER — Friends of Harold “Ray” Moyer, who died Sunday, March 13, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Church of Harmony, 538 Main St., Harmony. Friends, please meet at the church.

Ray will be laid to rest at Pinewood Memorial Gardens.
