Tom Tubridy Sr.

Tubridy

Tom (Thomas) Tubridy Sr., 82, of Cranberry Township, died at home peacefully in his sleep on Friday, March 11, 2022.

He grew up in Pittsburgh, as the middle child of seven children. He worked hard to support his family at whatever job he did — be it as a steel hauler or as a mechanic in his own garage. His strong will that helped him to overcome numerous physical and medical challenges made him seem invincible. He enjoyed watching Steelers games, NASCAR races and crime shows. He had a genuine interest in people and a willingness to help them.

Tom was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Tubridy Jr.; his brothers, Robert Tubridy and David Tubridy; and his parents, Leo and Mildred Tubridy.

He will be missed by his wife, Gloria Tubridy, who was the love of his life for 64 years; his devoted daughter, Shawn Tubridy (Matthew Haynes); his brothers, Leo Tubridy (Marylou) and John Tubridy (Sherry); his sisters, Joan Welbaum (Earl) and Patti Tubridy; his granddaughters, Brittani Sharrar (Andrew) and Tia Ybarra (Zack); and numerous nieces and nephews.

We will miss his quick wit, his smile and the sparkle in his eyes.
