Scheidemantle

Marlene M. Scheidemantle, 80, of Harmony, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022, while under the care of UPMC Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Aug. 31, 1941, in Braddock, she was the daughter of the late Paul Edward Vangura and Margaret Florence Chuba Vangura.

Marlene was a member at St. Gregory Catholic Church.

Marlene, along with her husband, Wayne, owned and operated the Seneca Valley School District bus operations and a charter bus service for over 55 years. A beloved wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and her community.

Marlene leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Kenneth (Sandee) Senka, Lynn (Eric Smith) Senka and Thomas (Kimberly) Senka; her stepsons, Kurt (Linda) Scheidemantle and Keith (Sharon) Scheidemantle; her grandchildren, Andrew Senka, Marrina Ashbaugh, Megan Weimer, Ryan Senka, Alyssa Senka and Reese Senka; her siblings, Edward (Valerie) Vangura and Paulette (Dr. John) Harrison; her sister-in-law, Beth Vangura; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne E. Scheidemantle, who passed away on Oct. 8, 2010; her daughter, Shelly Senka; her brother, Paul Vangura; her stepdaughter, Kathleen; and her stepson, Kevin.

SCHEIDEMANTLE — Friends of Marlene M. Scheidemantle, who died Saturday, March 12, 2022, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople. Friends, please meet at the church.

Marlene will be laid to rest at Zelienople Community Mausoleum in Zelienople.

Donations may be made in Marlene’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
