BUTLER TWP — A family fishing fun event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 27 at Alameda Pool in Alameda Park, off New Castle Road.

Hosted by the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, this family-oriented program is designed to teach basic fishing skills, safety and outdoor manners.

CRANBERRY, Venango County — The fifth annual Cranberry Festival Art Show and Exhibit is planned for Sept. 16 to 18.
