BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will host the following events at Alameda Park or Pool.

• Sunday Family Special with a lower price at Alameda Pool every Sunday.

• Children younger than 12 will receive half-off admissions every Thursday at Alameda Pool.

• Master Connell's ATA martial arts at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Carousel Shelter as part of its outdoor discovery series. There will be Taekwondo and self-defense demonstrations at Alameda Park.

• Youth triathlon for those 17 and younger at 8 a.m. Aug. 4 with registration due July 20 at Alameda Park.

• Lifeguard competition with teams from facilities in Butler County, Allegheny County, Armstrong County and Mercer County at 8 a.m. July 28.

A benefit for the families of motorcycle accident victims Hunter Lumley, Russ Barger and Ben Brown will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Hair Peace Salon, 259 Pittsburgh Road.Payments for haircuts and facial waxing will be by donation. There will also be a raffle, auction and bake sale.Proceeds will be totaled and divided equally among the three families.Donations designated to a specific family will be accepted.

The Butler Women of the Moose are having a fundraising rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Moose Lodge, 225 W. Jefferson St.

CENTER TWP — Community Alliance Church will hold a car cruise from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the church parking lot at 800 Mercer Road.There will be food available for purchase, including homemade pies.Rain date is Friday.

BUTLER TWP — There will be a children's workshop for building birdhouses from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Preston Park.Girl Scout Troop 26172 will teach about native birds and their houses.Register by calling Butler Township at 724-283-3430.

ZELIENOPLE — St. Gregory Catholic Church in Zelienople will have its Lawn Fete at 7 p.m. July 19 and 6 p.m. July 20 and 21 at 2 W. Beaver St.Dinner will be served nightly from 4 to 7 p.m.Activities include games, bingo, concession stands, raffles and entertainment. A Mass will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday.For information, call 724-452-7245.
