Jennie M. Seezox

Jennie M. Seezox, 85, of Butler passed away, Saturday evening, Dec. 26, 2020, at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Sept. 30, 1935, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late John and Barbara (Ocel) Ufner.

Jennie had worked as a secretary for the Butler Township Commissioners for 10 years. She had also worked as an assistant to County Commissioner James A. Green and Commissioner Joan Chew. She retired from the county offices in September 2005.

She was devoted to her Lord and was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, where she served as lector and a eucharistic minister at Butler Memorial Hospital for many years. She belonged to the Ladies Guild, also the Christian Mothers, and in the past, to the Bereavement Committee.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo (Greg) Chi of Portland, Ore.; two sons, Ronald Seezox and Timothy Seezox, both of Butler; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

She also leaves behind her longtime companion, Ronald A. Dietz; many sisters and brothers-in-law; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent J. Seezox, who passed away March 25, 1971; one son, John Seezox, and two infant sons; two daughters, Rebecca Sue Seezox and Karen Jean Caffrey; three sisters; and one brother.

SEEZOX — There will not be a visitation for Jennie M. Seezox, who died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Thursday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.

Arrangements were handled by Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
