Bonnie Jean Bosko

Bonnie Jean Bosko, 74, of Karns City, formerly of Irvine, Warren County, passed away peacefully Friday at the VNA Impatient Hospice in Butler.

She was born Oct. 30, 1938, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Rev. Adolph and Mary Patton Steed.

Bonnie was a 1956 graduate of Youngsville High School and was previously employed at Loranger's in Warren. She also drove a school bus, and had worked as a nurse's aide and florist.

She was a member of the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, where she played the organ, and the Titusville Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, crafting, visiting with friends and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by one son, Daniel Lee (Becky) Bosko of Virginia Beach, Va.; two daughters, Mary Beth (Dr. Samuel) Skarote of High Point, N.C., and Martha Ann Rottman of Karns City; seven grandchildren, Dora, Robin, Sarah and Daniel Bosko, Jessica and Elaina Skarote, and Jacob Yencik; three great-grandchildren, Molly, Cameron and Ayden; and two cousins, the Rev. William Fox and Sylvia Fox.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Bosko, who she married Sept. 19, 1959, and who died Nov. 30, 2009; and one grandson, Cody Mackie.

BOSKO — Friends of Bonnie Jean Bosko, who died Friday, July 5, 2013, will be received at the Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St., Youngsville, from 4 to 7 p.m. today.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Warren Co. Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNA, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.Condolences to the family may be made at www.nelsonfuneralhome.net.
