Artist Paul Means painted “Playground of the Allegheny,” a mural for East Brady that will be dedicated at an event on June 17 in the parking lot of 326 Kelly's Way in the borough.

EAST BRADY — The East Brady Area Development Corporation is inviting people to a mural dedication scheduled for June 17.

The mural, which is the work of artist Paul Means, is titled “Playground of the Allegheny” and depicts the river, a bald eagle and four seasons of outdoor activity on the river, trails and surrounding area.

The dedication will be held at 11 a.m. June 17, in the parking lot at 326 Kelly’s Way.

The event will include live music and remarks by local political leaders, and is being held in conjunction with the Allegheny River’s recognition as the state’s River of the Year.

The mural is a project of the Trail Town Committee, and is part of efforts to enhance East Brady’s downtown area, grow community pride and entice tourists using the area’s natural beauty and attractions.
