Harriet B. Herring

Harriet B. Herring, 83, of Butler, passed away Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

She was born Aug. 8, 1938, in Wilkes-Barre, and was the daughter of the late George P. and Sylvia (Pikoulas) Botsis.

Harriet enjoyed golfing, card club, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She retired from Bell Telephone in Butler, after 20 years, and also had worked at the Bon Ton.

Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Joseph Herring; a son, Joseph A. (Sharon) Herring of Butler; a granddaughter, Sophia Herring; a sister, Anne (George) Diener of Jamestown, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Peter Botsis and Allan Botsis.

HERRING — Friends of Harriet B. Herring, who died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with Pastor David Phillips officiating.

Interment will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
