Lillian Gracik, 84, of Butler died Monday morning at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born May 25, 1928, in Lyndora and was a daughter of the late Frank and Helena (Zavacky) Lachester.

Lillian had worked at Offut’s Department Store in Butler, was a self-employed hairdresser and had earned her Pennsylvania Real Estate license.

She was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. When she was younger, she played music and sang on WISR radio and was an artist. However, her main focus was to be a good mother for her family.

Surviving are her sons, Joseph J. (Borjanka) Gracik of Butler and John F. (Olivia) Gracik of Lakeland, Fla.; her daughter, Jeanne Gracik-Brenckle of Butler; and eight grandchildren, Stefan Gracik, Marina Gracik, Jeffrey Burt-Gracik, Jeremy Gracik, Daniel Daubenspeck, Christi Brenckle, Julie Brenckle and Paul Brenckle. Five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nancy of Pittsburgh and Lonnie and Claudia, both of Florida; and her close friend, Bob Suchonic of Pittsburgh, also survive.

GRACIK — Friends of Lillian Gracik, who died Monday, May 13, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Gillespie officiating.

Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
