Couple with suspected crack charged

Joshua Pisor
Arrests come after anonymous tip

WASHINGTON TWP — A man and his girlfriend were arrested after state police vice officers seized a little more than an ounce of suspected crack cocaine and other contraband Thursday, authorities said.

Joshua L. Pisor, 32, and Abbi R. Cochran, 28, both of Washington Township, are in the Butler County Prison, each facing felony drug charges.

Police said the arrests followed an anonymous tip Tuesday that Pisor had been traveling to Mercer County to pick up marijuana and narcotics.

On the lookout for Pisor, who also was wanted on a bench warrant, officers with the vice unit noticed him driving a sport utility vehicle and tailed him to a store on Route 308.

Four months pregnant, Cochran, a passenger, went into the store and bought items including ice cream and pizza, police said. Officers found her inside and she admitted to having a plastic baggie of crack in her bra, police said.

After being arrested, authorities said, she tried to maneuver the suspected drugs — knotted up in the baggies — from her bra into her pants.

But officers found the drugs. She also allegedly had a crack pipe in her pants.

Still in the driver's seat, Pisor was found with $452 and two pills for which he did not have a prescription, police said.

A search of the vehicle, according to charging documents, turned up a marijuana pipe in the center console. From Cochran's purse that was on the front passenger floorboard, police seized a pill bottle containing what appeared to be marijuana, a digital scale and suspected drug-packaging materials.District Judge Lewis Stoughton arraigned both on felony charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy, and misdemeanor counts each of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and conspiracy to commit those same crimes.Additionally, Cochran was arraigned on misdemeanor charges of tampering with physical evidence and hindering apprehension or prosecution. The latter charge, police said, is because Pisor was wanted on the warrant and Cochran knew it.Pisor and Cochran are in the county prison in lieu $100,000 bond and $30,000 bond, respectively.Authorities said Pisor is also being held on the warrant for failing to appear for a court hearing stemming from an unrelated 2017 felony drug case. Both defendants face preliminary hearings Jan. 14 at Stoughton's office in Chicora. Court records did not indicate if either one has an attorney.
