Mick Fennell tossed a seven-hit shutout in Saxonburg’s 1-0 Eagle County League baseball win at Zelienople Friday evening.

His effort included eight strikeouts and two walks.

The only run of the game was scored in the top of the fourth inning when Bobby Swartwout singled home Alex Ziegler, who finished the game with a single and double.

Scott Hanicak pitched well in defeat, allowing the one run on eight hits in a complete game.
