Margaret Draper

Margaret Jane Draper, 92, of Butler, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021.

Margaret was born in Butler on Oct. 1, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Chuley) Procter.

She worked at the A&P store on Wayne Street, the Family Drugstore on N. Main Street. and as a stamper/packer at Magnetics in East Butler. Margaret was very active at St. Peters Episcopal Church, Westminster Presbyterian Church, First United Methodist Church, and the Girl Scouts. She was well known for her kitchen parties, making large batches of pierogies, paska, and hardtack candy with friends.

She is survived by four of her five children and their spouses, John and Gloria (Santroni) Draper, with whom she made her home, Jill Klann, Jayne Draper, and James and Wendi (Collins) Draper; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Draper.

Draper — The family of Margaret Jane Draper, who died Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, will host a memorial service once family and friends can be invited.
