Margaret Draper

Margaret Jane Draper, 92, of Butler, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021.

Margaret was born Oct. 1, 1928, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Chuley) Procter.

She worked at the A&P Store on Wayne Street, the Family Drugstore on North Main Street Ext. and was a stamper/packer at Magnetics in East Butler.

Margaret was very active at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Westminster Presbyterian Church, First United Methodist Church and the Girl Scouts.

She was well-known for her kitchen parties, making large batches of pierogies, paska and hardtack candy with friends.

She is survived by four of her five children and their spouses, John and Gloria (Santroni) Draper, with whom she made her home; Jill Klann, Jayne Draper and James and Wendi (Collins) Draper; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Procter Tantlinger; a brother, Andrew J. Procter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Draper.

DRAPER — The family of Margaret Jane Draper, who died Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, will host a memorial service once family and friends can be invited.
