Charles Horstman
Pastor Charles “Chuck” S. Horstman, 44, of Beaver Falls, formerly of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh.
“He fought the good fight. He finished the race. He kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Born March 4, 1977, in Butler, he was the son of Donald P. and Deborah Ross Horstman of Butler.
He loved the Lord. He was the youth pastor at St. John’s Burry’s Church.
Chuck was a graduate of Butler High School Class of 1995, and a graduate of Geneva College. He had been a youth director at church camps, had been active in The Good News Club, loved spending time with his family, and enjoyed hunting and camping.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Mary Horstman; a cousin, Brenda Brenneman; and his mother-in-law, Amy Diehl.
He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Karen Diehl Horstman; three adoring children, Braeden, Kiyah and Barrett “Buck” Horstman; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Brian and Candice Horstman and Sean and Stephanie Horstman; his father-in-law, Jacob “Jake” Diehl; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margie and Chris Bailey and Joyce and Rory Rossi; and several nieces and nephews.
HORSTMAN — Friends of Pastor Charles “Chuck” S. Horstman, who died Tuesday, April 6, 2021, will be received from 2 p.m. until the service at 3:33 p.m. Sunday at St. John’s Burry’s Church, 1835 State Route 68, Rochester, Pa., with the Rev. Win Groseclose officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, is in charge of arrangements.
