Jacqueline Barkman
Jacqueline “Jackie” Barkman, 72, of Butler, passed away on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born Sept. 20, 1948, in Huntingdon, and was the daughter of the late Jack R. and Grace (Newman) Barkman.
She was a 1966 graduate of Knoch High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.Jackie had worked at the Mushroom Farm, II-VI Inc. and was vice president of Jack Barkman Excavating Inc. She owned Dynamic Fitness and Jacque's Restaurant on Main Street.Jackie was one in a million, and those who knew and loved her will always remember her.Surviving are two sons, Matthew T. (Allison Renfrew) Barkman of Butler, and Kory E. Guynup of Butler; three grandsons, Tyler Barkman, Dakota (Samantha) Snyder and Koolbie Fredly; her granddaughter, Mercedes Guynup; three great-grandchildren, Caleb and Grayson Barkman, and Lily Snyder; three sisters, Toni (Karen) Demott, Karen (Richard) Macurdy and Brenda (Larry) Huffman; three nephews; a niece; and her best friend, Margie Parquette of Butler.She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Adam Huffman.God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.So He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me.”BARKMAN — Services and burial will be private for Jacqueline “Jackie” Barkman, who died Friday, Dec. 18, 2020.Arrangements are under the direction of Young Funeral Home, Butler.Please visit www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
