William J. Mariotti
William J. Mariotti, 83, of Butler, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at New Haven Court in Butler.
Born March 26, 1937, in Butler, he was a son of the late Geno and Olga (Tramontana) Mariotti.
He worked as a steelworker for Armco Steel. He retired in 1995, following 35 years of service.
He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, and was a longtime member of the Sons and Daughters of Italy.
He coached youth baseball and basketball when his son participated in the sports.
He was a very sociable person. He enjoyed being around people, dining out, watching movies, watching sports, playing golf and discussing current events.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he won a marksmanship award while in the service.Surviving is his son, Dave Mariotti of Petrolia; his daughter, Becky (Steve) Hunka of Butler; one grandson, Cameron Mariotti of Bellevue; his brother, Geno (Lida) Mariotti Jr. of Butler; and numerous nieces and a nephew.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda (Miller) Mariotti, who passed away April 25, 2019.MARIOTTI — Family and friends of William J.
