Robert George Lee Jr., 77, of Butler passed away Wednesday at Alle-Kiski Medical Center/West Penn in Natrona Heights.

He was born on Feb. 7, 1937, in Wilmington, N.C., the son of the late Robert George Lee Sr. and Elizabeth Moore Lee.

Robert had been a Mason. He was an avid reader, who enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

He retired as an electrician after 50 years of service to Local Union 495.

Robert was also a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1955 to 1960, then serving from 1960 to 1963 in the U.S. Air Force.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Phyllis Barr Lee of Butler; his two sons, Thomas Rummel of Los Angeles and Bryant Rummel of Butler; his three granddaughters, Amanda (Daniel) Jones, Christina Rummel and Chelsea Rummel, and his five great-grandchildren, all of Virginia.
