Following are the area high school divers who qualified for the WPIAL diving championships at Pine-Richland High School Friday (Class AA) and Saturday (Class AAA).

Jesse Hogan scored 19 points and grabbed six rebounds as the Portersville Christian School boys basketball team defeated Imani Christian School, 66-55, in a playoff game recently.Josh Aikens added 17 points and seven rebounds, Justin McCandless 12 points, Christian Manz 10 points and four blocked shots.Darius Balthrop scored 18 points for Imani.

Justin Nock of Seneca Valley and Shane Sarver of Freeport placed in their respective events at the recent Tri-State Track Coaches Association Indoor Championships at Robert Morris University.Nock placed third in the high jump with a leap of 6 feet. He qualified for the state meet with a jump of 6-1 earlier in the year.Sarver placed third in the mile with a time of 4:33.86.

Grove City College women's basketball players Abby Moose and Rachel McCoy were named first-team All-Presidents' Athletic Conference.Moose, a former Portersville Christian School student, is averaging 18.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game. She also earned her second ECAC Player of the Week honor, averaging 24 points and six rebounds in two Wolverine wins last week.McCoy, who also as named PAC Freshman of the Year, is averaging 12.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.Seneca Valley graduate Candice Eyerman, a junior guard at Waynesburg, earned second team honors. She sank 81 3-pointers and led the Yellowjackets with 12.5 points per game. Union graduate Mary Jane Eaton, a senior forward at Westminster, received honorable mention All-PAC.

Tickets for Brian Minto's eight-round heavyweight boxing match against Cerone Fox, slated for March 23 at the Butler Days Inn, are now on sale at that facility.Tickets are $20 for general admission, $35 for reserved and $50 for ringside.
