Ethel Smith

Ethel L. Smith, 100, of Harmony passed away Monday at Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.

Born April 29, 1914, in Meridian, she was the daughter of the late L. Leroy and Alice Charlier Smith.

Ethel was a faithful member of Park United Presbyterian Church in Zelienople for more than 60 years.

She was a member of the Dames of Malta and Golden Agers Senior Center. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She is survived by her nephew, Richard A. Johnston and his wife, Judy, of Greensburg; her two great-nieces, Melissa Helman and her husband, Brett, of Woodbridge, Va., and Kristen Johnston of Greensburg, and her two sisters, Alice Liguori of Olean, N.Y., and Betty Andrews of Zelienople.

In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her eight brothers and two sisters.

Smith — Family will receive friends of Ethel L. Smith, who passed away Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, from 10 a.m. until the time of a funeral ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. Paul Merrill officiating. Ethel will be laid to rest at Butler Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, Ethel's family suggests memorial contributions be made in her honor to Park Presbyterian Church, 115 E.
