BRUIN — The Karns City School District has shifted gears and now will sell the closed Bruin Elementary School to the Housing Authority of the County of Butler, the authority's executive director said this morning.

The district had pulled back an earlier offer to attempt getting a better deal, but has returned to the original offer made by the authority earlier this year.

The authority wants to convert the building into an 18-unit complex for senior living and community learning center.
