Ronald Waldenmyer
Ronald Lee Waldenmyer, 82, of Jarrell, Texas, formerly of Butler, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, W.Va.
Born Jan. 27, 1940, in Butler, he was the son of the late Carl H. and Esther Yost Waldenmyer.
He was a district manager for 34 years with Woolworth. After their closing, he relocated and worked for Dell Computer in Texas, where he retired from.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
Ron attended the Unionville Presbyterian Church.
He was recently honored with a 50-year pin, diploma, and apron for belonging to Evening Star Masonic Lodge 75 in Albany, N.Y.
Along with his wife and family that he loved, he enjoyed RVing, camping, hunting, fishing, and doing little projects.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Tirk Waldenmyer, whom he married June 28, 1958; his daughters, Debbie Waldenmyer Smith of West Virginia, Wendy Waldenmyer Rea of Butler, Tracey (John) Waldenmyer Saul of Butler, and Deanna (Charles) Waldenmyer Morrison of Texas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many stepgrandchildren; and one niece and one nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Lincoln L. Smith; and his brother, Carl H. Waldenmyer.
WALDENMYER — Family and friends of Ronald Lee Waldenmyer, who died Saturday, March 5, 2022, will be received from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at RAISLEY RUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 387 Main St., Prospect.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by the Rev. Mathew Kail, pastor of Unionville Presbyterian Church.
Interment with military honors will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler.
