'Skippyjon' staging coming to SV

The cast of Theatreworks USA will present “Skippyjon Jones Snow What” on Jan. 14 at Seneca Valley Intermediate High School.

JACKSON TWP — An award-winning professional theater company will present “Skippyjon Jones Snow What” at six venues in the surrounding area, including at 2 p.m. Jan. 14 at Seneca Valley Intermediate High School.

Theatreworks USA will perform that stage musical, based on the best-selling book by Judy Schachner.

Who is the bravest Chihuahua of all? It’s Skippyjon Jones the siamese cat who thinks he’s a Mexican Chihuahua.

While his sisters listen to a Snow White story, Skippyjon heads off for an adventure. As his alter ego Skippito Friskito, with the help of his friends the Seven Chimichangos, Skippyjon must rescue the beautiful princess Nieve Qué (Snow What), battle the evil dragon and defeat the Bruja.

General admission tickets are $10.50 in advance or $12 at the door. Visit www.TrustArts.org/kids or call 412-456-6666.

Children younger than 2 are admitted free but require a lap pass.

Founded in 1962, Theatreworks USA is America’s largest and foremost equity theatre for young and family audiences.

The Citizens Bank Children’s Theater, now in its 48th season, is designed for ages 3 and older.
