Sandra L. Evans

Sandra L. Evans, 69, of Butler, formerly of Rural Ridge, Indiana Township, Allegheny County, passed away peacefully Tuesday with her daughters at her side.

Born on April 26, 1945, in Pittsburgh to the late Robert M. and Ruth E. Wilson Evans Jr., Sandra grew up in West Deer, graduating from West Deer High School in 1963.

She worked for more than 26 years as an administrative assistant for the Women's Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, East End.

A former member of the East Union Presbyterian Church, she enjoyed Steelers football, ceramics, crocheting, and especially spending time with her girls and their families.

Survivors include her daughters, Faith K. (Martin) Flora of the Sheridan section of Pittsburgh, Sarah M. (Christopher) Collier of New Castle and Katie M. (Ron) Postreich of Pine Township; her 10 grandchildren, Mia, Maya, Kiara, and Gabi King, Allie, Jake and Rylan Collier, and Preston, Desolina and Adalyn Postreich, and her three great-grandchildren, Julian, Bently and Kileea King.

Evans— The family of Sandra L. Evans, who passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where services will be at 10 a.m. Friday. Private burial will be in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Women's Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, P.O.
