Katherine R. McClain, 66, of Freeport passed away Thursday while in the company of family members at the Armstrong County Health Center in Kittanning.
Kathy was born Aug. 30, 1949, in Freeport. She was the daughter of the late Mildred I (Eshenbaugh) and Henry L. Stivers Sr.
Kathy was a wonderful mother and homemaker who enjoyed craft work, cross stitch, crocheting and playing bingo. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Edward L. McClain, and their four daughters, Melissa (James) Libengood of Freeport, Suzette (John Roffol) McClain of Harwick, Dawn (Michael) Eli of McCandless and Brandy (Brent) Smith of Buffalo Township.
Kathy is also survived by her grandchildren, Levi McClain and Katryna Williard, James Libengood, Garrett Smith, Edward Libengood and Anthony Roffol; two brothers, Henry L. Stivers Sr. of North Buffalo Township and James Stivers of Saxonburg; and her sister, Nancy (Henry) Rodgers of Freeport, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Stivers; and her two sisters, Sally Mae George and infant, Clara Stivers.
MCCLAIN — Family and friends of Katherine R.
