Violet J. Moore
Violet J. Moore, 75, of Kaylor-Petrolia Road, Karns City, Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County, passed away unexpectedly Friday at ACMH Hospital near Kittanning.
Violet was born Aug. 8, 1940, in Saxonburg, the daughter of the late Earl and Bessie McCallister Robb.
Violet was a 1958 graduate of Knoch High School. Mrs. Moore was a longtime member of the Karns City United Methodist Church. Violet was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and flowers, especially roses.
In her earlier years she was employed at the McGinley Nursing Home in Chicora and the Chicora Medical Center, as well as Du-Co Ceramics Company in Saxonburg.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, Creed L. Moore, who she married July 13, 1965, in Cabot.
Also surviving is her son, Timothy L. Moore and his girlfriend, Corine Pirron, of Kittanning; three grandchildren, Christine Moore of Ohio, Kayla Moore and Tabitha Moore, both of Butler; three great-grandchildren; her sister, Gladys Milnac, of Pittsburgh; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Moore, who died Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev.
