Harry W. Cooper
Harry W. Cooper, 92, of Cabot passed away on Monday at his home.
Born Oct. 12, 1926, in Cabot, he was the son of James Cooper and Pearl Shimmel Cooper.
Harry served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as an airplane mechanic.
He worked as a die maker for Du-Co Ceramics, retiring in 1991 after 32 years.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sarver.
He enjoyed gardening, growing strawberries and going to Lernerville. He was an avid Pirates, Penguins and Steelers fan. He loved ducks and he especially enjoyed being with family.
Surviving are his children, Debra (Kevin) Steele of Cabot, Bruce (Pat) Cooper of Cabot, Keith Cooper of Easley, S.C., Patricia (John) Baker of Butler, and Vickie Cooper of Cabot; five grandchildren, Ashley, Jerin, Crystal, Trever and Rachelle; and two great-grandchildren, Charity and Blake.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan Irene Cooper; two brothers, James and Charles Cooper; and two sisters, Carrie Sweeny and Mae Kettering.
COOPER — Friends of Harry W. Cooper, who died Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sarver, with the Rev.
