Robert L. Ciani
Robert L. Ciani, 77, of Sarver passed away on Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 25, 1940, in Rochester, he was the son of Fulido Ciani and Josephine Ricciardi Ciani.
He had worked as a supervisor for Du-Co Ceramics, retiring in 2002 after 39 years of service.
Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1958 until 1962.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sarver, where he was a lay minister and also was in the church choir.
He enjoyed traveling and was a member of Silver Sneakers at the YMCA in Natrona Heights, and was an avid Steelers fan.
Bob was a wonderful caregiver to his wife, Joyce, during her many years dealing with Parkinson's disease.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce Claypoole Ciani, whom he married Sept. 9, 1961; his daughter, Robin (RJ) Dickey of Butler; his son, Rob (Michele) Ciani of Sarver; his brother, Anthony “Pooch” (Barb) Ciani of Freedom; two sisters, Antoinette “Nettsie” (Jim) Williams of Monaca and Lucia “Lucy” (Chris) Ancona of Deltona, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Crystal Ciani, Shannon Dickey and Forrest Dickey.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
CIANI — Friends of Robert L. Ciani, who died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 409 Sarver Road, Sarver, with the Rev.
