Rita “GG” Lorraine Sherych, 89, of Harrisville, went to be with the Lord and her Angels on Friday evening, March 4, 2022, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.

Born on Oct. 16, 1932, Rita was the daughter of the late Edward and Katheryn Titchenal.

She was a retired cook from Slippery Rock University. She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, cooking, crocheting, knitting, planting flowers, feeding the birds, watching her “stories” and reading.

Rita is survived by her daughters, Michele Cresswell and Tracy (Ralph) Barclay; a son, Tom (Valerie) Sherych; her grandchildren, Ashley Christie, Amber (Travis) Ice, Mark (Natalie) Christie, Jessica Cresswell, Steve Cresswell, Ben Sherych, Chris Sherych and Emily Sherych. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Nevada; great-grandchildren, Justin Smith, Hadley Ice, Greyson Christie, Layne Christie, Shepard Sherych, Sadie Sherych and Callie Sherych; and a niece and nephew in California.

Along with her parents, Rita was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel Sherych and Joe Sherych; and two sisters, Betty McClaren and Barbara Callas.
