Night at the ballpark
Alexa Hetes, who threw out the first pitch at Butler Eagle Night at the Butler BlueSox doubleheader against Quincy at Kelly Automotive Park on Thursday, gets a souvenir lunch box from Scoop, the Butler Eagle’s mascot. Alexa, 7, is the daughter of Butler Eagle advertising representative Andrew Hetes. Children who attended the game got a lunch box. To highlight the United Way of Butler County’s Christmas in July fundraiser, Santa Claus showed up to sing the national anthem before the second game. The BlueSox won the first game, 7-3, but lost the second game, 4-2.
