Theresa Marie Ligus

Theresa Marie Ligus, 88, of Butler passed away Wednesday.

She was born Jan. 26, 1930, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Leo and Leaudra (Miller) Evans.

She was a member of St. Peter Parish Family Church, where she was in the ladies guild.

Theresa had been a waitress at Days Inn and Lake Arthur. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Surviving are her son, Robert (Yvonne) Ligus of Butler; three daughters, Regina (Dennis) Fleeger of Butler, Roxann Ligus and Raylene (Wayne) Nagle, all of Butler; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister, Anna Franchuk of Butler; and her brother, John Evans of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Ligus; a daughter, Robin Ligus; a grandchild, Kyle Hasychak; two sisters, Rita Twerdok and Pauline Chepelsky; and two brothers, Leo Evans Jr. and Patrick “PJ” Evans.

LIGUS — Friends of Theresa Marie Ligus, who died Wednesday, March 28, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Parish Family Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler, with the Rev.
