Woman arrested in Oct. drug case

Heather Kuhrt

On Monday, Butler police arrested a Center Township woman stemming from an October traffic stop during which officers allegedly found her with suspected heroin and crack cocaine.

Heather A. Kuhrt, 34, is free on her own recognizance while awaiting a preliminary hearing Dec. 31 on felony and misdemeanor drug possession charges.

Police said “numerous calls of drug activity” on the 300 block of First Street about 10:30 p.m. Oct. 22 led them to Kuhrt. She was found riding in a vehicle that was reportedly seen in the area where police had gotten the drug complaints.

Officers found her with a syringe, according to court documents. She also admitted having other contraband and turned over a pill bottle that she had in her pants.

The bottle, police said, had six capsules that contained suspected heroin and 12 individually wrapped bags containing suspected crack.

District Judge William Fullerton arraigned her Monday on two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and two counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

Butler County court records showed that Kuhrt has five pending unrelated cases — one for felony drug possession, two for misdemeanor drug possession and two for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
