Douglas F. Scharf

Douglas F. Scharf, 70, of Zelienople passed away on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021.

Born Oct. 12, 1950, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late LeRoy C. Scharf and Juanita Josephine (Liehr) Scharf.

Doug was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He was an avid hunter and fisher. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Doug will be remembered as a kind and loving man, who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Kimberly E. Skantzos; his children, Tina (Joe) Detwiler, and Joseph (Tina) Scharf; his stepsons, Adam and Cory Yaworsky; his grandchildren, Douglas Detwiler, Cody Detwiler and J.J. Scharf; his step-grandchildren, Wyatt and Ethan Yaworsky; and one great-grandbaby on the way.

He is also survived by his brother, LeRoy C. (Cinda) Scharf Jr.; and his sister, Juanita Scharf.
