Brenda Kay Delaney
Brenda Kay Delaney, 81, passed away Saturday in DeLand, Fla.
Mrs. Delaney was born Sept. 18, 1937, in Butler County, to Floyd J. and Kathryn S. McCollough.
She grew up in Western Pennsylvania and married Albert S. Delaney on July 25, 1959.
Brenda received a B.S. degree in nursing in 1977. Her career included hospital nursing in both Pennsylvania and Florida. She was also an administrator of the Central Florida Visiting Nurse Association, serving five counties simultaneously.
Brenda was a woman of strong Christian faith who enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed a large circle of friends, was an avid reader, a member of the Belleview Florida Garden Club, an expert quilter and had taught a weekly quilting class in her home. Loved by all who knew her, she will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her four children, Stephen (Kelly) Delaney, Linda Collar, David Delaney and Karen (Steve) Delaney, all of Pennsylvania.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Stephen and Alyssa Delaney, Nicole and Michael Collar, Donald, Daniel and Kathryn Delaney, and Jessica and Austin Kolich.
She also leaves three great-grandchildren, Kylee, Liam and Lucas. Also surviving are three siblings, William McCollough, Eden McCollough and Linda Raup; and one sister-in-law, Jane Delaney.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Brenda was preceded in death by two grandsons, Bryan Collar and Dakota Kolich.
DELANEY — A memorial service for Brenda Kay Delaney, who died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, will be held at a later date.
